There will be fun for the entire family atDowntown Kirkwood's Holiday Walkin downtown Kirkwood Saturday, November 23 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will delight children with their arrival by Amtrak train.

After his grand entrance, Santa will pose for photos. Be sure to bring your camera to snap a photo for your Christmas cards! Adults will enjoy shopping for holiday gifts offered by Downtown Kirkwood's unique specialty stores-many of which will feature free refreshments and special offers.

The Kirkwood Train Station, 110 E. Argonne, is the headquarters for children's activities.

Santa will greet his admirers and letters to Santa will be accepted from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Mrs. Claus will captivate young listeners with her holiday stories beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Lucille Rapp Tumblers and Dancers and The Statesmen Singers will also perform during the event.

Also from the train station, catch the Holiday Trolley and take a free ride around historic Downtown Kirkwood from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Your child can choose from any of our 14 available themes at our all-inclusive parties. We'll supply the invitations, decorations, party games, crafts, party leader, party assistant, paper goods and party favor.

You bring the cake and then sit down and relax as we take care of the party for you! Each 90-minute party is packed with fun hands-on activities that will WOW your party guests. The cost for our parties is $250 for 10 children. Each additional child is $15 per person.

Festively Fun Fairy Tale Tea Party: Join in the fun at our fairy tale tea party. Play sweet games including Hansel and Gretel's Sugar Cube Stack, Little Miss Muffet's Spider Sweep, and Red Riding Hood's Race to Grandma's. Kids Can Help

Kids Can Help at The Magic House

November 23 & 24, 2013



Children can help those less fortunate and get into The Magic House for FREE during the Museum’s annual canned food drive.

On Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24, children under the age of 12 who bring in three canned goods per person will be admitted to the Museum free of charge.

The collected food will be donated to the St. Louis Area Foodbank to help families in need. Helping others can be a magical experience.

Millions of lights and dozens of holiday scenes fill Jellystone Park in Eureka.


You can see Santa’s flying reindeer, travel through the Candy Cane Village or visit the Waterfall of Lights.   After seeing the lights, head over to Kringle’s General store for a little holiday shopping.

All aboard for some holiday fun at the Missouri Botanical Garden! The annual Gardenland Express holiday flower and train show delights visitors of all ages. G-Scale model trains travel through a miniature landscape of living plants surrounded by more than 400 colorful poinsettias and other flowers.


Central West End Window Walk, Central West End, Dec. 1, 1 p.m.
The Central West End neighborhood kicks off the holiday season with a window walk and street festival. The fun begins at 1pm with live entertainment, ice sculpting and chestnut roasting while you browse for your favorite Holiday window display.

Parents and their little short stacks are sure to "flip" over The Magic House's Annual Breakfast with Santa. On Sunday, December 8 and December 15, families can make their morning (or evening) sizzle with a yummy pancake breakfast cooked by a pancake flipper extraordinaire. This isn't any normal pancake breakfast as kids will catch their pancakes as they are tossed through the air by Chris Cakes Catering's master chef. The kids can also have a special photo taken with Santa, enjoy playtime in the Museum and even have the opportunity to make a fun holiday craft to take home.
